Metal is everywhere

By Evon Blackledge

Bloodywood’s latest album, Nu Delhi, is an absolute powerhouse, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on a copy. Their fusion of traditional Indian sounds with heavy, groove-driven metal has always been a force to be reckoned with, but this record takes it to a whole new level. Every track feels bigger, bolder, and more emotionally charged than anything they’ve done before.

One track that completely blew me away is Bekhauf, featuring BABYMETAL. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this collaboration, but the moment the track kicked in, I knew it was something special. Bloodywood’s signature blend of hard-hitting riffs and dhol rhythms lay the perfect foundation for BABYMETAL’s ethereal yet powerful vocals. The way the Hindi and Japanese lyrics weave together is seamless, and the contrast between the aggressive verses and the soaring chorus gives the song an electrifying energy. Lyrically, Bekhauf is all about fearlessness—standing up for yourself and refusing to back down, and you can feel that defiance in every beat.

This album isn’t just a collection of songs; it’s an experience. It’s loud, raw, and unapologetically real. If you’re even slightly into heavy music, you need to hear it for yourself.
