The Menzingers - After The Party

It’s not easy growing older as a punk band. After all, punk was once defined by youthful rebellion.  “After The Party” saw The Menzingers looking back at their 20’s and explore what it meant that they were now over. This doesn’t sound like an ideal premise for a punk album, but they actually made it work. Not only that, they delivered a career highlight. That’s because they’re wonderful storytellers and know how to package those relatable stories into big, bold hooks that you just have to shout along to. This is the album version of a booze filled evening with old friends reminiscing about the good old times while finding comfort in the realization that those specific days might be over, but life and its joys aren’t. - Manu
