Dream Unending - Song of Salvation
Derrick Vella’s guitar performance on Dream Unending’s “Song of Salvation” might one of the best I’ve heard in metal over the last few years. It’s creative, it’s tasteful and at times simply gorgeous while still doomy, crushing and heavy. Their debut album was already absolutely amazing, so expectations were high for the follow-up and incredibly they even exceeded them. I am usually not the biggest fan of doom metal, but this has captured me completely from the first to the last note. I can’t get enough of it. It’s an album you can completely immerse yourself into and it’s the perfect soundtrack for gloomy, cold winter days. - Manu
